About our Pastor:
Pastor Joe Frazier Jr. accepted his calling into the Gospel Ministry in 1992 under the leadership of Rev. Marine Erby Sr., Pastor of the New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, in Sacramento, California. Pastor Frazier served as assistant Pastor to Rev. Erby and also served in many other capacities as needed by the Christian community. While in California, Pastor Frazier sought the opportunity to further his education and training in Christian Ministry – preparing himself for seven years, until he was led by the Holy Spirit to relocate to Tucson, Arizona in 1999. Here in Tucson he pastored the Ideal Missionary Baptist Church for two years. Then, in 2001, being led by the Holy Spirit, Pastor Frazier found New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Tucson where he currently serves as Senior Pastor. Pastor Frazier is a man who truly loves the Lord. He shows his love for the ministry by his steadfast faith in God. He also realizes the importance of salvation, and meeting the spiritual and physical needs in his community. Pastor Frazier is married to the lovely and beautiful Sheila Frazier, who works closely by his side in the ministry. They have six wonderful children; Kim, Tammy, Joann, Crystal, Joseph, and Vincent. They are the proud grandparents of eight grandchildren.
About our Church:
New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church is a warm and loving church family. Our church is Christ centered and believes in the Bible as God’s infallible word. We believe too that Christian development is essential to our spiritual growth. See photos of worship service.
Our Mission Statement:
In order to create a bridge for sharing the gospel, New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church will seek to be God’s family to the families of our community. Our ministries are designed to biblically equip, spiritually strengthen and empower our church family to seek God, to serve God, and to win lost souls for Christ – building up the kingdom of God.
Our current motto is, “This is what we do”. We adopted this theme in early 2009 because of the blessings of our Outreach Ministry. God has blessed this ministry to flourish and produce many times over. We thank God that we are able, by His grace, to meet the many needs in our community each week through feeding, providing clothing, counseling, referrals, and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. God is truly amazing!
